PETER REHAK is a witness to the history that shaped modern Europe. From his vantage point in Central Europe, crucible of the Cold War, he was the correspondent in charge for the Associated Press. Peter Rehak was in Prague on the night of August 21, 1968 when the Red Army crushed the Prague Spring government of Alexander Dubcek. Mr. Rehak filed the story under harrowing circumstances and in spite of gunpoint Soviet censorship. He achieved a world exclusive for himself and the AP. Czech by birth, Peter Rehak became a Canadian citizen when his parents emigrated to Canada. He has had a distinguished journalism career which includes many years as the producer of CTV's W5.
